Welcome to the PLURI Project

Plurilingualism for Better Education, Cohesion & Linguistic Diversity

What Is

Pluri?

PLURI is a Europe-wide initiative committed to fostering inclusive, multilingual education for all β€” embracing both migrant and non-migrant linguistic minorities. Co-funded by the European Union, the project advances European language policy by equipping educators, families, and institutions with tools to support language diversity and cohesion in schools and communities.

Why

Pluri?

Language is more than communication β€” it’s identity, culture, and connection. While EU laws prohibit language-based discrimination, real-world implementation remains uneven. PLURI works to close this gap by making the European Language Policy (ELP) accessible, practical, and impactful at the grassroots level.

Our Approach

PLURI combines digital tools, inclusive events, and a hands-on community framework to promote positive attitudes toward language diversity. A central innovation of the project is our Language Station prototype β€” a flexible space combining physical and digital resources for learning and interaction.

Our visual identity is shaped like a building:

  • The foundation represents EU language policy and participatory research.

  • The columns symbolize our key stakeholder-focused activities.

  • The roof is our forward-looking Language Station prototype.

What We Do

Train Teachers

We equip educators with plurilingual and translanguaging methods to support students from all linguistic backgrounds.

Empower Families

We raise awareness among parents about language rights and the value of multilingualism, strengthening school-community ties.

Engage Institutions

We work with local authorities and schools to refine inclusive policies and remove barriers for linguistic minorities.
