Our Story
The PLURI project is a 2-year initiative to promote plurilingualism in schools and within multilingual families. It focuses on educators, parents, school authorities, and students. The project offers activities for all groups together and some tailored to specific groups.

Language Discussion Club
At the heart of PLURI is the Language Discussion Club, a community-driven learning space. Held monthly, these social meet-ups address language challenges and highlight best practices through open dialogue. Based on Participatory Action Research, the club allows all participants to switch between learner and expert roles. Insights from these discussions help shape PLURI’s targeted events.
To encourage participation, translanguaging techniques will be used, and the club will be family-friendly. Parents can attend while children engage in supervised, age-appropriate activities. Young participants interested in discussions will have a voice, with facilitators ensuring their input is valued.
01
Teacher training
The 3-day training will introduce participants to translanguaging, helping them recognize and apply it in their classrooms. It will also include a design workshop.
02
Research panel
research panel is a space for academics who study or practice translanguaging to exchange knowledge, and gather insights from the project. We expect to have about 3 seminars in each country.
03
Station Setup
We will organize co-creation workshops to develop content for the language station, which will provide ready-to-use activities supporting multilingualism.
04
Linguistic Deep Dive
We are recording an 8-episode podcast where we discuss key challenges with invited guests: experts, practitioners, and persons with lived experience of the situation.
05
Art Workshops
Art workshops explore multilingual experiences through creative expression. Activities like slogan design, storytelling, and lullabies empower participants. Each session is tailored to meet community needs.
06
Language Pilot
The project aims to design and test a language station— a physical and digital toolbox providing educators and multilingual users with sustainable translanguaging resources for classrooms and beyond.
